Welcome in — something's in the oven

A Little Makery

Custom cakes first — plus pies, cupcakes, sourdough & homemade Southern cooking.

This is Christine's kitchen-first makery in Gaffney, South Carolina: celebration cakes made to order, pies and cupcakes for the table, crusty sourdough loaves, and catering of homemade Southern dishes and meals. And yes — the sewing, embroidery, and crafts she loves are still here, just sharing the table now.

a little about the maker

It starts in the kitchen

If there's a celebration coming, Christine is thinking about the cake. A Little Makery is first and foremost her kitchen — custom cakes for birthdays and gatherings, pies when the fruit is ripe, cupcakes by the tray, and sourdough started days before it ever meets the oven.

The "Little" in the name is Christine's own: she's Christine Little Gregory, and the makery is hers — one maker in Gaffney, South Carolina, cooking and baking the homemade way. Beyond the sweets, she caters homemade Southern dishes and full meals: the kind of food that fills a table and sends people home with a plate for later.

The crafts never left, either. Sewing, machine embroidery, and crochet are still part of the makery — they simply come after the kitchen now, the way dessert follows supper. Poke around, enjoy the gallery, and check back — there's always something in the oven or on the table.

the heart of the makery

Cakes & the Kitchen

Cakes lead the way here — made to order for the people and days that matter — with pies, cupcakes, and sourdough right behind them.

Pies & Cupcakes

When the fruit is ripe, there are pies — lattice-top and sliced peach pies with golden, flaky crusts — and cupcakes by the tray with swirls of blush and cream buttercream. Perfect for a table that needs a little variety, or a party where everyone wants their own.

  • Peach & berry pies
  • Cupcakes by the tray
  • Cookies & bars
  • Seasonal bakes

Sourdough Breads

Good bread takes its time, and so does Christine. Her sourdough loaves are slow-risen for a deep flavor, baked to a crackling golden crust with a soft, open crumb inside — the kind of loaf that turns soup night or Sunday supper into something special.

  • Classic sourdough loaves
  • Slow-risen dough
  • Crusty, golden bakes
  • Made in small batches

And the Everyday Baking

Alongside the orders, the oven stays busy with everyday baking — strawberry layer cake, cookies for the jar (and the neighbors), and the occasional experiment that becomes a family standard. Recipes get the same care as a good seam: measured twice, shared generously.

  • Cookies & bars
  • Tea-time treats
  • Family favorites

Homemade Southern Dishes & Catering

Not just sweets — Christine caters homemade Southern food for gatherings, family meals, and occasions that call for a full table.

Sewing, Embroidery & Crafts

The crafts are all still here — sewing, machine embroidery, crochet, and handmade pieces for the home. They share the makery with the kitchen, and they borrow its warmth.

Machine embroidery is the specialty — floral hoops, monograms, and stitched gifts — alongside quilts, tote bags, aprons, table linens, and crochet.
